The Valais Blacknose (also known as: Wallis Blacknose, German: Walliser Schwarznasenschaf (Valaisian black nose sheep),Blacknosed Swiss, Visp, Visperschaf)^[1] is a breed of domestic sheep originating in the Valais region. It is a coarse-wooled (i.e. mattress, mixed or carpet) breed from Switzerland kept primarily for meat.^[2]

Both rams and ewes are horned.
