What a sad day.
Your story and pictures of Mikey made me cry.I am so very sorry for your loss. I had a cat that looked very much like him. My kittie's name was Casper, he was a Himalayan Persian and like you, he was my best friend. He passed away at 15 years young on May 20,2021. I also grieve every day, I keep a shrine for him up on my dresser where I have a beautiful urn with his ashes and a framed photo of him. I'd love for you to see him but I'm having trouble uploading his photo anywhere. If I succeed I'll let you know where.
Many years before Mikey, I had a white cat named Casper. He passed away too young from FELV.
Thank you for this comment. Losing Mikey has been devastating. I also have a shrine, Mikey's is in my closet. His followers from his group on Facebook sent me so many things after his death. I recieved blankets with his photos on them and jewelry with his photos on them and his name. They sent me stuffed animals and items they created themselves. Someone even named a star after him . It was so touching and I had to save all of it. It fills my closet which is open to the room with no doors on it. It makes me happy. I will be posting about this soon. It has just taken me some time to get where I am now where Im ok to post. Thank you. I hope you are further along in your own grief as well.
